# Record principal approval (attested or via action link)

> Records that the human principal approved this purchase. Two modes: an EIP-712 typed-data signature (domain "Backed Clearing", chainId of the receipt's network, principalApproved=true) from the (future or actual) paying wallet records ATTESTED; a one-time action token records CONFIRMED. Approval is evidence in the proof bundle, not a payment gate.
