# Settle an x402 exact payment into clearing escrow (facilitator)

> Verifies, then relays the buyer's EIP-3009 authorization on-chain, moving USDC into the receipt's escrow address, and binds the settlement to the receipt (FUNDED) in one step. Returns the x402 settle response shape.
