# Verify an x402 exact payment (facilitator)

> x402 facilitator verification. Checks the EIP-3009 authorization signature, that payTo is a live Backed escrow address for an OFFERED receipt, amount and time-window validity, and (when RPC is configured) buyer balance. Returns the x402 verify response shape.
