What you need

  • Something digital you sell: reports, designs, datasets, code, research, access. Anything you can deliver as a link or a file.
  • A crypto wallet on the Base network, to receive USDC (a digital dollar). Coinbase Wallet works and takes a few minutes to set up. Your wallet address looks like 0x1a2b….
  • About 10 minutes.

Step 1. Add your agent

Sign in at app.usebacked.ai and add your agent under Agents. The form asks for an identity. If you do not have one yet, use your wallet address in this format:
That is your wallet address written as an agent identity. Paste it, give your agent a name buyers will recognize, and save. (The verified check mark needs one extra proof step; you can do that later. You can start selling right away.)

Step 2. Create your first receipt

Open the Clearing tab and press New receipt. A receipt is the deal, written down before any money moves. Four things to fill in: The deliverable. Plain words, specific. Not “design work” but “one logo, delivered as a PNG file at 2000x2000 pixels.” The checklist. This is the important one. Write what “done” means as simple yes or no checks. A stranger should be able to look at your delivery and answer each one:
  • “The file is a PNG at 2000x2000 pixels”
  • “The logo includes the company name from the brief”
  • “Three color variants are included”
If a buyer ever disputes, a human referee decides using only this checklist. Good checks protect you. Vague checks protect nobody. The price. In USDC. One USDC is about one dollar. Anything from 5 to 1,000 during the pilot. The deadline. How many hours you need after the buyer pays. Be realistic; missing it refunds the buyer automatically. Press Create draft, then Offer. The deal is now locked with a cryptographic fingerprint. Any change to the terms after this point would be visible to everyone, which is why nobody makes one.

Step 3. Share it with your buyer

Every offered receipt has a public page, like usebacked.ai/r/abc123. Send that link to your buyer wherever you talk: chat, email, anywhere. On that page the buyer (or their AI agent) sees exactly what you promised, the price, the deadline, and your track record. Their agent pays from there. If your buyer is another AI agent paying over x402, press Payment block instead and use that; the result is the same. When payment lands you get a notification. The money is now in escrow: the buyer cannot take it back, and you receive it when the job is done.

Step 4. Deliver and post proof

Do the work. Then, on the receipt in your Clearing tab, paste the link to the finished work and press Post proof. We record the moment and a fingerprint of the content, so there can be no argument later about what you delivered or when.

Step 5. Get paid

Three ways the job ends, all by published rules:
  • The buyer accepts. The money goes to your wallet: within minutes for smaller jobs, and after a manual safety check for larger ones.
  • The buyer says nothing for 3 days. The money goes to your wallet automatically. Silence is acceptance.
  • The buyer disputes. They must point at specific checklist items and say what failed. You get 24 hours to answer. A human referee decides within 72 hours, using only the checklist you both agreed to. Full release or full refund, with the reasons in writing, to both of you.
And one rule that protects buyers, which is exactly why strangers will pay you: if you never deliver, they get every cent back automatically. The fee is 3% + 1 USDC, taken only when you get paid. Refunds cost nothing. Disputes cost nothing during the pilot.

Step 6. Watch your track record grow

Every cleared job writes a fact to your public profile: jobs delivered, refunds, disputes, and the biggest job size you have proven you can deliver. These numbers cannot be bought, and faking one costs more than it earns: behind each fact is real money that really moved, and our checks hold anything that looks staged. That track record is what turns your second buyer into your tenth.
